F.A.Q.

ARE MAX BRENNER CHOCOLATES KOSHER?

All of the chocolate products that you can purchase from our Chocolate Shop are kosher dairy under the supervision of the Bet-Shemesh Rabbinate.

Max's Pastry range & Coffee are produced locally in Australia and is not Kosher.

WHAT IS THE BEST METHOD OF STORING CHOCOLATE?

Take care of your Max! All of our chocolates are susceptible to temperature variations. It is important that you store our products in a cool, dry area (below 22℃) & away from direct sunlight.

It is best to avoid storing chocolates in the refrigerator, however if this is essential, use an air-tight container to avoid odour & moisture spoilage.

DO YOU HAVE ALLERGY SENSITIVE PRODUCTS?

All Max Brenner products are manufactured in an environment where nuts, milk, soy and wheat products are processed. Although we take the highest level of care and attention, we unfortunately cannot assure that our products will be completely free from cross-contamination.

WHAT IS THE GREYISH WHITE FILM THAT SOMETIMES APPEARS ON CHOCOLATE?

Raw chocolate cannot spoil, however, blooming may occur due to poor storage. Blooming is a term describing the whitish grey discoloration on the surface of chocolate caused by cocoa butter separating and rising to the top.

While this does not mean that chocolate is inedible, it does mean that chocolate has lost its sheen and the texture may become granular.

WHAT MAKES MAX BRENNER PRODUCTS UNIQUE?

At Max Brenner, we are creating more than just a "taste" experience. Max views chocolates as part of his holistic chocolate culture. So, in addition to having amazing taste and high quality, each of our products appeals to additional senses, to memories and to personal associations.
As Max says, "Feel with all senses and enjoy to the Max"!
